The Shift
Fewer handoffs. From requirements to running integrations
Traditional EDI
- Requirements → Developer queue → Map development
- Repeated development, testing and rework
- New development requests for mapping changes
- Manual investigation across logs and systems
- Coordinated resends and recovery
- Separate checks for partner performance and SLAs
DEXA
- Requirements → AI-generated document definitions and maps
- Build, test and correct in one workspace
- Update requirements. Generate map changes. Retest.
- AI-assisted investigation with document history
- Controlled retries and document reprocessing
- Unified partner visibility and configured SLA alerts

HOW DEXA WORKS
From specification to production.
Step 01
Define the requirement
The Mapping Requirement Specification becomes the source of truth.
Step 02
Generate the translator
DEXA uses AI to generate the translation logic, validation rules, format definitions, and envelopes.
Step 02
Test before production
The generated integration is tested against real transaction data before deployment.
Step 04
Deploy and operate
DEXA
Move from monitoring operations to operating them
Controlled Autonomy
Every capability moves through Veto -> Suggest -> Approve -> Auto. Autonomy is earned per capability, error class and partner, not switched on globally on day one.

FAQ
Questions about DEXA
Everything you need to know before we start working together.
What is DEXA?
DEXA is the operating system for modern EDI. It combines partner onboarding, specification-driven integration design, deterministic translation, transaction visibility and agentic operations in one platform.
What does 'live in hours' mean?
It means live in production: the integration is mapped, validated against the partner’s real sample data and exchanging transactions. Partner-side certification still runs on the partner’s calendar.
Is an AI model running in the transaction path?
No. DEXA uses AI to generate the translator and related artifacts. The production runtime uses generated, cached and deterministic translators.
What is MRS?
MRS stands for Mapping Requirement Specification. It captures the source schema, target schema, mappings and business rules and acts as the source of truth for the integration.
Can business analysts use DEXA without developers?
Business analysts can own partner setup, specifications and routine changes without putting every change into a developer queue. Developers remain important for architecture and complex integration work.
What happens when a trading partner changes its requirements?
Update the MRS. DEXA regenerates the grammar and mapper, validates the specification, re-tests the integration and prepares the approved configuration for deployment.
How does DEXA handle EDI errors?
DEXA traces the document journey, identifies the failure and supports replay after a fix. DEXA Mind adds failure classification, root-cause analysis, partner notifications, ticketing and guided remediation were earned.
How does DEXA's autonomy model work?
Capabilities move through Veto -> Suggest -> Approve -> Auto. Autonomy is earned per capability, error class and partner, and can be automatically reduced when quality drifts.
Can DEXA connect with our existing systems?
Yes. DEXA connects over named channels including AS2, SFTP, HTTPS and REST APIs, file shares, message queues and VAN, and supports X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, flat file and CSV.
How does migration work?
DEXA supports phased migration. Its evidenced migration path includes extracting legacy maps from IBM Sterling, converting them into readable specifications, comparing real outputs side by side, explaining discrepancies and cutting partners over in waves.
Is DEXA available yet?
DEXA is currently in private validation with a trusted group of transportation, logistics and supply-chain teams. Private briefings are available for qualified prospects.
